Leading West Australian dog food manufacturer Nutri-Mate Pet Foods has announced multi award-winning champion show handler and groomer Chelsey Primrose, and her Siberian Husky, Bode, as its first official Brand Ambassadors.
Chelsey and Bode were introduced to Nutri-Mate’s fresh dog food rolls after the 100% Australian owned local manufacturer signed on as a Supporting Partner of the 2025 Perth Royal Show’s annual Dog Competition.
“Bode won Best in Show at last year’s Perth Royal Show and we were gifted Nutri-Mate vouchers as part of our prizes,” explains Chelsey, Nutri-Mate’s Nutrition Ambassador.
“We started him on Nutri-Mate’s dog food rolls straight away and I’ve been really impressed.
“Bode has some food sensitivities but, since switching to Nutri-Mate, he’s been continuing his winning ways.”
In April, five-year-old Bode won two Runner Up Best in Show titles at the Siberian Husky Club of NSW’s Specialty Show, judged by American breed specialists from one of the top kennels in the US. It was the first time the pair had competed at the event together.
“What we feed our beloved dogs is always important, but if you’re showing them, it’s 100% even more important,” shares 28-year-old Chelsey.
“The quality and shine of their coat, their muscle tone and their energy levels, which need to be high to perform, are all intrinsically linked to what’s being put in their bodies, the same as with people.
“I didn’t want to take any chances, so I even packed some Nutri-Mate in my suitcase for the trip to New South Wales!”
Established in 2021, Nutri-Mate locally manufactures nutrient-packed affordable dog food rolls that ensure dogs of all ages and breeds get all the goodness they need.
Crafted using 90% WA-sourced ingredients, the products are preservative and additive free.
Nutri-Mate founder and managing director Dr Richard Pace welcomed the duo to the team.

Chelsey is part of the Snowdara family kennel prefix, which has been exhibiting and breeding champion dogs since 1979. Her father Peter is an All Breeds judge, and her mother Rita holds Groups 6 and 7 license, while Chelsey is currently studying for her own judging license. She grew up in the show ring, and lives and breathes canines.
“Most weekends you’ll find me at a dog show at Dogs West (my second home!) and during the week I’m either grooming or training one of my 10 Siberian Huskies, or grooming someone else’s pet,” she states.
“Every part of my life involves dogs and I don’t know that I could live without them.
“I’ve won heaps of Best in Shows and that’s great, but it’s more about the joy I get from being with dogs and seeing them enjoy performing, especially jumping.
“I also love seeing my dogs loving the crowds, and the time after shows when we get to talk to people about the thing we love most (dogs!) and watching them get to pat the boys is super special.”
Nutri-Mate’s dog food rolls are available at selected IGA nationally, Spudshed, Farmer Jack’s, Coles and Woolworths supermarkets.
Its 1kg fresh dog food roll range, chicken, beef, and lamb, all with rice and vegetables, are also now being supplied into the Malaysian market.
Nutri-Mate’s Canning Vale facility manufactured food for people for 20 years and now produces dog food to the same high standards. It also has globally recognised HACCP food safety certification.
The brand is accredited by the Pet Food Industry Association of Australia Inc, which exists to promote standards of excellence in the development of the pet food industry.
